Sambhunath is a well-known Chhau dancer from Aspara village in Purulia. Inspired and supported by his father, Anil Karmakar, he began performing as a child artist with the village troupe, where his talent quickly gained recognition. To refine his skills, he trained under Padma Shri Nepal Mahato. After several years of rigorous training, he formed his own Chhau dance troupe. Along with performances across India, his team has also performed internationally, including in China, the Philippines, Sri Lanka, and Japan.
