Krishna’s Rasleela

Led by - Shri Lakhindar Kumbhakar

Krishna’s Rasleela

This dance performance is premised on Krishna’s Rasleela, a divine and artistic tradition that originated from the playful and enchanting dance of Lord Krishna. As Krishna Ji played the flute on the banks of the Yamuna river, he called out to Radha, who, mesmerized by the melody, would rush to join him in dance. Their graceful movements symbolized divine love and unity. Witnessing this celestial dance, the gopis (cowherd women) too became part of the rhythmic celebration, forming a beautiful circle. Over time, this dance evolved into the renowned “Rasleela Krishna,” a spiritual and cultural expression that continues to be performed with devotion and reverence.
